Week 7 NFL...
NFL Week 7 Picks
By Wes Whiteside
Last Weeks Record: 5 wins and 8 Loses
Key Wins Last Week: Minnesota Vikings over Detroit Lions (12-10), Philadelphia Eagles over San Francisco 49ers (40-26), Indianapolis Colts over Baltimore Raven (31-3)
Key Loses Last Week: St. Louis Rams over Washington Redskins (19-17), Cleveland Browns over New York Giants (35-14), Arizona Cardinals over Dallas Cowboys (30-24) in Overtime.
Last Weeks Fantasy Gems: Peyton Manning (Colts) 3TDs, Vikings Defense 6 sacks and 1 safety, Donavan McNabb (Eagles) 2TDs.
Bye Teams: Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Jacksonville Jaguars and Philadelphia Eagles.
1:00 pm Games:
San Diego Chargers (3-3) at Buffalo Bills (4-1): Tough pick here. The Bills are coming off a bye and a healthy Troy Edwards will be the difference in this game.
BILLS by 3
Fantasy Pick: Marshawn Lynch RB of the Bills
New Orleans Saints (3-3) at Carolina Panthers (4-2): Key division game for both teams in a packed NFC South. Drew Breese has been my MVP so far in the league. He will need a big game to keep the Saints alive.
SAINTS by 6
Fantasy Pick: Reggie Bush RB of the Saints.
Minnesota Vikings (3-3) at Chicago Bears (3-3): This game will remind everyone why they used to call the NFC North Division the “Black and Blue Division”. Both quarterbacks will be black and blue after these defenses get a hold of them.
VIKINGKS by 3 in Overtime
Fantasy Pick: Vikings Defense
Pittsburgh Steelers (4-1) at Cincinnati Bengals (0-6): Not much needs to said in this game other than the Steelers are way better than the Bengals.
STEELERS by 14
Fantasy Pick: Hines Ward WR of the Steelers
Tennessee Titans (5-0) at Kansas City (1-4) Chiefs: It’s about time the Titans started to get the credit they deserved as the # 1 team in the NFL. Titans, now don’t go and lay an egg this week.
TITANS by 17
Fantasy Picks: Kerry Collins QB of the Titans
Baltimore Ravens (2-3) at Miami Dolphins (2-3): Both these teams need a win to stay on a pace for a playoff spot. Both teams need to get back to what have won them games this year. Ravens rely on your run game while the Dolphins need to rely on Ronnie Brown to do just about everything.
DOLPHINS by 2
Fantasy Pick: Ronnie Brown RB of the Dolphins
San Francisco 49ers (2-4) at New York Giants (4-1): Giants can’t be happy with their performance last Monday in Cleveland. It’s a short week this week and another trap game if their not careful. They could very well get beat again.
GIANTS by 10
Fantasy Pick: Eli Manning QB of the Giants
Dallas Cowboys (4-2) at St. Louis Rams (1-4): Man what a fiasco in big D this week after last weeks lost in Arizona. Pacman Jones gets suspended, Romo is out for a month (now he might play this week) and on top of that, Owner Jerry Jones traded for wide receiver Roy Williams from the Lions. Regardless of what happened this week the Cowboys defense will not have another game like last week.
COWBOYS by 10
Fantasy Pick: Terrell Owens WR of the Cowboys
4:00 pm Games:
Detroit Lions (0-5) at Houston Texans (1-4): This is a chance for the Texans to show everybody that they are not as bad as their record looks. Offensively they are ranked 5th in the NFL in yards.
TEXANS by 10
Fantasy Pick: Andre Johnson WR of the Texans
Indianapolis Colts (3-2) at Green Bay Packers (3-3): The Colts are back people. It took a few weeks but Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison have finally found their chemistry. Packers could be in trouble if they don’t take care of the football.
COLTS by 7
Fantasy Pick: Reggie Wayne WR of the Colts
New York Jets (3-2) at Oakland Raiders (1-4): Brett Farve is going back to Oakland where he is 4-0 with 11 TDs. We all remember Farve’s last game in Oakland where he threw for 399 yard and 4 TDs, the day after his father passed away. I’m excited to see Farve in Oakland because he is my starting QB in my fantasy football league.
JETS by 24
Fantasy Pick: Bret Farve QB of the Jets
Cleveland Browns (2-3) at Washington Redskins (4-2): I was excited to see the Browns play well last week. I’m still not a believer until they put together back to back wins. It’s not going to be easy either. The Skins aren’t too happy after losing to the Rams last week.
REDSKINS by 3
Fantasy Pick: Clinton Portis RB of the Redskins
Sunday Night Game:
Seattle Seahawks (1-4) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-2): I want to know who in their right mind thought this would be a good prime time game. Seriously!
BUCCANEERS by 17
Fantasy Pick: Earnest Graham RB of the Buccaneers
Monday Night Game:
Denver Broncos (4-2) at New England Patriots (3-2): The long ball will come into play in this game both teams are not very good in defending the pass. Look for Randy Moss to show fellow receiver mate Brandon Marshall he’s not ready to hand over the best deep threat receiver in the NFL.
PATRIOTS by 6
Fantasy Pick: Randy Moss WR of the Patriots
