What a great success story for the Youngsville football team, the Eagles, a downtrodden group just a couple years ago, for winning their first five games of the season, including a shocking 25-15 victory over a powerful Mercyhurst Prep team.  The loss ended the Lakers 24-game unbeaten streak in the regular season.

MP was averaging over 38 ppg.

Youngsville trailed 13-6 at the half and then dominated the final two periods behind the play of senior quarterback Cory Craig and and rugged defense.

The Eagles can move to 6-0 with a victory over rival Eisenhower.

Congratulations to the Eagles. A team that was rewarded for hard work.
