HS games slated!

The Erie BayHawks will play host to five high school basketball games during the 2010-11 season, each of which will take place at Tullio Arena prior to a BayHawks game.  The schedule features one varsity girls game, three varsity boys games, and one junior varsity game.

The first games take place Saturday, January 22 with a boy/girl varsity double-header featuring Iroquois squaring off against Seneca at 3:30 p.m. followed by Villa Maria playing Northwestern at 5 p.m.

Saturday, February 12 features a rare triple-header with the McDowell and Corry boys junior varsity teams playing at 2 p.m. followed by the varsity game at 3:30, and capped off with a backyard rivalry game between Cambridge Springs and Saegertown at 5:00 p.m.

Student tickets are just $5.00 and adults are $8.00 when purchased in advance through the schools in the weeks leading up to the games.  All tickets are valid for admission to all of the day’s games including the BayHawks game.

“We’re pleased to once again offer a unique opportunity to area student-athletes to play on our court,” said BayHawks team President Matt Bresee.  “We spent a lot of time working through the logistics with the Convention Center Authority and the respective athletic directors to make these games happen, so thanks goes to them for helping provide what will be a great experience for the kids and their schools.”
