Five stars out of five

Written by Pulitzer Prize winning author David Halberstam, The Breaks of the Game is a must read for everyone -- sports and non-sports readers alike. Halberstam was one the most enjoyable writers ever. He is another author with a true gift to entertain and inform.

This is an inside look at the 1979-80 season of the NBA Portland Trail Blazers and is nearly impossible to put down once you start reading.

Forget the fact it was written 30 years ago, this book will have a lesson for everyone that  reads it.

No doubt, one of my all-time favroites as I have read it three times and getting ready for a fourth. No matter how many times I've read it, there is always something new to learn.

Check it out as it's the type of read that you can set it down for three months, start again and it never misses a beat.
