Everyone loves a thrilling, overtime victory.

            And when it comes in the playoffs, even better.

Harbor Creek wrestler Tim McAndrew defeated Ridgway’s Jerico Weitzel in quadruple overtime before winning the 189 pound weight class. With the Northwest Region AA championship on his resume, McAndrew can also add the Quinn Law Firm Athlete of the Week honor.

            Weitzel was a former Florida state champion who was undefeated and ranked first in the state. But McAndrew held his ground and was able to hold on to a 3-2 win that took four overtimes. McAndrew will now head on to the PIAA tournament.
